Franklin College President Kerry Prather announced Tuesday that Thandabantu B. Maceo will be the new vice president for strategic enrollment management and marketing.

Maceo has more than 29 years of higher education experience. He last served more than 45 campus associates as the vice president and consultant for the enrollment marketing services division at Ruffalo Noel Levitz, which partners with colleges to help enrollment and retention. He previously worked at several universities and colleges, even co-founding TBM Consultants LLC in Ohio.

Among other things, his skills include strategic enrollment management planning and leading high-performance enrollment teams.

In Prather’s press release Tuesday, Maceo expressed excitement in working for the college.

“I am deeply committed to placing my skills, talents and experience in service to Franklin College under President Kerry Prather’s leadership,” Maceo said. “I look forward to working with all members of the campus community to achieve enrollment and net tuition revenue goals.”

With a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Xavier University, a Master of Business Administration from Heidelberg University, and additional graduate courses in educational foundations, Maceo spent his educational career working closely with marketing and recruiting. Maceo committed to gaining more knowledge of marketing and enrollment in order to be able to work in a liberal arts education college.

In the press release, President Prather said that the Franklin College community is thrilled to welcome Maceo.

“Beyond expertise, Thanda strengthens our leadership team with a positive, collaborative style and a genuine love for and commitment to the mission of the liberal arts,” Prather said. “I am confident he will help us continue our positive enrollment direction and enhance our overall strategy in many ways.”
