February 6 // Students, staff and community members came out to hear visiting artist Joel Fremion explain his "fabric collage" technique. Afterwards, they gathered in the Johnson Center for Fine Arts Atrium to look at his work.

A sense of community
Junior Ethan Corwin said, "It's one of the cool things about Franklin—whenever its warm and everything, you see people visiting campus, you see old people walking through with their dogs, you see everybody out enjoying their time."

Scholarship season
February 26 // High school students from all over the country who qualified for the invitation-only scholarship program, Ben Franklin Scholars, visited the college. The students worked as a group to find philanthropic solutions to world problems and presented to a panel of Franklin College staff, wrote 500-word personal essays, and completed a scholarship interview.

A liberal arts moment
February 28 // Senior Maya McCloud reads some of her poetry before introducing the visiting author. A biology major, McCloud said she loves researching diseases and tries to find ways to combine science with her writing craft.

All for fun
Men's volleyball players practice once a week to prepare for a 'for fun' tournament scheduled for late March or early April. The intramural rec league was started by women's volleyball Head Coach Randi Garrett.

Coach Randi Garrett sets up senior Kody Wilkerson for a hit. Wilkerson said he believes that playing volleyball could teach him skills that could be applied to other sports.

The women's lacrosse team finishes practice in a huddle by chanting their overarching theme for the season: "Believe!"
Relishing the warm weather
Students brought out lawn games like cornhole to take advantage of the unseasonably nice weather.
